Cats and friendship

MeowMeow is heavy.

Look at the pinkish white belly.

How did he get so heavy? Table scraps.

On the brighter side of things, Poppy's better now.
His naughty look has returned and he's started doing some naughty things....i even caught him contemplating jumping from the dining table to the kitchen table, which is like 3 ft apart. He was contemplating. When he fixes his gollywog eyes on the kitchen table with that chau kuan (bad habit) face, I know.

But of course, Poppy's still due for the 2nd x-ray end of next month.

Thanks to the 'get well' messages on Facebook for Poppy. It was really unexpected but deeply touching and very much appreciated. Even more so for the fact that these people don't even know me personally, haven't seen Poppy or me in real life.

And that the people on FB who i actually do know personally did not even bother to drop a message.

Life is unpredictable. Friends come and go. But whatever it is, at least for now, I have my two kitties. And that makes me happy.

That's the irony of fb. People u know add you as a friend, but most of them will not bother about what goes on in your life, unless it is of interest or affects them in anyway.

Just think abt how many 'friends' that u know that u haven't spoken in 5 years. Seriously at least 50% of my fb friends fall into that category.

Realised we are not connected in fb. You wil fall surely into the other 50% :)

those people in FB may not realize that their get well wishes didn't go through. there are glitches in the computer system which to one side showed ok, but in reality the message didn't go through.

am very surprised that you behaved in such a child-like fashion. give ppl the benefit of doubt.

hi rach, thanks for the note. i registered for the heck of it recently - didn't really want to for a long while...

not too active on fb nowadays...i just joined for 2 months only...i would prefer to stay connected to u via your blog. it's more fun this way :-)

hi t'pil, ok, so i will give my personal friends the benefit of the doubt....all 3 of them. yeah, that's the only 3 people i picked to share my stories of Poppy and Meow with. Perhaps that why one of them never replied my email...maybe her reply got lost...

but i guess when it comes to my furries, i tend to be a bit child-like. perhaps i picked up that chau kuan from dad. remember, our dad?

i am surprised that u even made this comment. my only fault is i love my cats perhaps too much, that's all.

Hi, have been a silent reader for a while....FB sucks. Most of the time, people just don't care - they meet u one time and then they add you. Just so they get to have more friends. But if it's your personal friends...maybe they aren't so great friends after all (?) tpil, relax a bit. it's her blog after all.

Anyway, i love your stories...looking forward for more!

the cats are the most important thing to this mummymeow, so ur definately getting heat if someone snubs the boys.
FB is overhyped. I find ppl wasting too much time on FB sending stupid floral arrangements, buying ppl and doing weird 'unreal' stuff when they could be spending time doing real stuff instead.
On the brighter side, looks like mummy meow made another cat friend. Jessie, uv got cats?

hey jessie, thanks for reading and commenting for first time! Any animal lover is a nice person to know.

about fb....haha..no comments....

Hoi, T'pill. Chill out man. She's your sis. U give her the benefit of doubt instead of calling her childish. After all blood is supposed to be thicker than water. U should give her some support instead.

I enjoy playing Mob Wars on Facebook. And it's been useful in hooking up with long lost pals from 20 years ago. Also made some new friends which is fun - like Poppy!

BTW, Poppy I'm mentioning your web site on Saturday in Katz Tales in the Weekend section of the Star as I'm writing about longhaired cats. And Poppy looks so sweet with her floofy coat..

Want to come and join Cats On Tuesday blogs???

Wow, poppy gets to be featured in a writeup! Floofy cats only eh? Too bad Mr. Meowzers orange coat not the floofy type.. he's more of the solid dense all-meat type...heheh..

Hi Ellen! Well, I am certainly happy that u accepted me as a friend on Facebook!

I don't play Mob Wars...don't know how to play...perhaps also no time :-(

And Poppy's a boy! It's okay - after being spayed, Poppy and MeowMeow act like sissy girls anyway ;-)

It is an honour to even have u think of mentioning this blog in your article - at the end of the day, it doesn't matter if nobody reads it, what matters is my most fav cat writer (besides Sharlene)finds Poppy and MeowMeow amusing!

Keep on writing and cheering people up with your fuzzies!

Yap, u are the bestest friend. U know what i mean. Thank you for always tolerating my childish somewhat weird ways...

It's interesting how this whole FB gets more comments that anything else. Firstly, in case anyone gets the wrong idea, i didn't dis FB. I was talking about friends on FB and the lovely ppl who left comments on my FB note on Poppy.

lastly, t'pil, i have been blogging secretly for almost 1 year under a password. When i chose to open it publicly in July, the only 2 people i thought of was daddy meow and u. Family first. And then my 3 specially picked personal friends a month later. Personal means they know me, we've studied or worked together in past.

If this were the other way around, i would definitely give my brother the benefit of the doubt first above your friends, gf, etc.

I may continue to be childish in my blog. Cos it's fun to be childish when all day at work u have to work so hard and be so mature in order to lead a growing team of people.

Let's take a chill pill ok?
